Fave Summer Foundations

I know summer is just about over, but it’s still hot as Hade’s outside and a lot of people will be doing last minute holidays. So, I thought I would throw out some of my favorite foundations I’ve worn this summer, but they can also be worn all year round. According to The Skin Cancer Foundation, Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and 50 protect your skin most effectively from UVA and UVB rays that can cause premature aging and skin cancer. I’ve always been a big fan of physical SPFs, as I find them be more natural and easier on my sensitive skin. Almost all of the foundations I mention that have an SPF are physical SPFs, but I did throw in a few without, as sometimes a high SPF can cause a white flashback if your taking pictures with a flash.

Juice Beauty STEM CELLULAR CC cream SPF 30 Natural Glow – I loved this CC cream when I was trying it out. It is a super light coverage, so it might not appeal to those who like fuller coverage. It is great just for a lazy day at home, or running errands, or even walking around an amusement park.

IT Your Skin But Better CC cream SPF 50+ Fair – This is my holy grail CC cream, it looks amazing one, feels like nothing, and gives wonderful coverage. For those of you who love full coverage I think this is the CC cream for you. It has many skin loving ingredients so it protects, nourishes, and hydrates while enhancing your natural beauty.

Bareminerals Matte Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Fair01 – Super easy to apply, just swirl, tap, buff on your skin and out the door you go. Great for lazy days, going to school, and looking natural while still having a little something on your skin. Light coverage, but you can build it up to suit your needs. Great for those with sensitive and oily skin a sit controls oils, and doesn’t break down quickly in the heat.

Smashbox Camera Ready Broad Spectrum BB Cream SPF 35 Fair – Definitely full coverage, it will cover every imperfection you want it to cover while feeling like you are wearing nothing at all. Apparently, Smashbox tested it under several different types of lighting to make sure the colors wouldn’t shift and change in the light. They also tested it out with flash to make sure that it wouldn’t flash back with the SPF. This is a chemical SPF, so if you’re sensitive to that watch out. I loved the product when I tried it though and it works amazing for oil skin types, so it is a must have for vacations as a quick throw on base.

Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combo/Oily Skin Ivory – Everyone and their sister probably knows about this foundation by now. Its one of the most highly talked about on Youtube, but for good reason. This foundation smooths over the skin, covers nicely, looks natural, and doesn’t rub off on clothes. Its great for events, date nights, anything you want to use it for really. Has a medium to full coverage and amazing staying power.

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup 02 Fair – This is amazing for all skin types, ages, and events. It gives a flawless look with little fuss and still looks natural. It has a medium coverage, but great staying power and is quite build able if you want the extra coverage. My mother has sworn by the for decades and I love it.

Japonesque Color Luminous Foundation Shade 1 – A new discovery for me, but one that is absolutely amazing. This foundation covers beautifully, looks natural, and it matches perfectly to your skin tone. You could dab some of this on any trouble areas, blend it out, and no one would ever know you’re wearing makeup. It doesn’t rub off, lasts all day and is perfect for big events to have you looking naturally flawless.

Hope these recommendations help you find the perfect foundation to add to your makeup routine this summer. 🙂 Please, make sure to follow me on Twitter to get updates and see what I’m up to.
